Jean Kercheval is a Seattle-based writer and photographer who has been creating portraits for over 30 years. She has earned multiple awards within the internationally acclaimed Portrait Masters. Her work has also been published in various fashion editorial magazines and online platforms.
Jean’s creative work has often blended the written word with the visual image. She was the creator, photographer, and writer of the Quarter Life Crisis project, a digital magazine featuring twenty-one intimate interviews accompanied by moody, black-and-white imagery of young adults. This project found a global audience through its publication on the international platform, PRIVATE, and is also accessible via her website.
Her recent book, Creative and Obsessed: Artists Speak - Interviews That Inspire, is a collection of thirteen interviews, accompanied by portraits of artists from around the world and their work. They share their sources of inspiration and creative processes, offering a glimpse into their creative mindset. In this book, you’ll have the unique opportunity to put a face to their words and often view the artist’s breathtaking artwork. This book will bring readers face-to-face with artists and the personal stories behind their creative journeys.
